GURPS WebWorlds Templates |
The templates are intended to be versatile and fairly complete.
However, if anyone feels modifications are necessary, you can address
them to the GWW mailing list. If enough people agree, the templates will
be updated.
Download files are in ASCII TXT format, and can be saved to your local system by your browser General InformationItems on the templates are either optional or required. If a section is required, we ask that every dimension have that particular section filled out. If it is optional, then you don't have to fill it out, but it is recommended. Note that you can change a template if you change your mind. So, feel free to fill out as much as you like, although, generally, the more the better. Following here are the sections (in CAPS) and Items. The notation "req" to indicates required sections and items and "opt" indicates optional sections and items. If a section is denoted as "opt" or "req" then all items in the section are considered the same as the section. Explanations for each item follow the item (in plain text). For optional items, if a category does not apply, then indicate "none" (example: world has no magic at all then indicate under the Magic Section, "none" of "no magic in the dimension"). This is so it is clear that there is "none" and not just accidentally neglected. Remember that the templates are more for categorization and to give others a quick look. The are not intended to define things completely. More Templates?We would like to put together more template for more specific issues. If anybody would care to volunteer for the project, feel free. We would like to have a template for Clusters, and might like templates for planets, societies, nations, etc. Do you have any other suggestions for templates to make developing worlds/dimensions more easy? |
