Organization Templates

Below is the template for GURPS WebWorlds organizations.

GENERAL ORGANIZATION: (req)

  • Project: The official name of the organization project. This title may be different from the actual name of the organization, if the designers choose it to be.
  • Name: The name of the Organization, and any associated meanings.
  • Designers: All the designers who will have authority in the organizations's design and development.
  • Member Cluster(s): The name of any Clusters where the organization plays a role. If the organization has not been OK'D for use within the Cluster specified, please indicate "proposed".
  • Baseline: The main idea or concept of the organization summed up in just a few short lines.

OPERATIONS: (opt)

  • Worlds: How does the organization jump between worlds? About how many worlds is the organization active in? Are the worlds members of a cluster? What about the worlds permit the organization to operate there? Are there worlds where the organization might not be able to operate?
  • Administration: Give a description of the basic structure and style used by the organization. How many levels of organization are there? About how many people work for the organization?
  • Goals: What things does the organization do? Why? What are their short and long term plans.
  • Relations: Any information on people or other organizations that are particular friends or enemies of this organization.

RESOURCES: (opt)

  • Technology: General Level and types of technology available to the organization. Any limits on the technology. Most familiar types of technology.
  • Magic: General Level and different types of magic available to the organization. Any limits on the magic. Most familiar types of magic.
  • Psionics: General Level and types of psionics available to the organization. Any limits on the psionics. Most familiar types of psionics.
  • Financial & Physical: A General description of the amount and types of money and other assets available to the organization. Also any available information on the flow of money and assets.
  • Personnel: General information on the people who work for the organization, how members are recruited, and what happens to retired or severed personnel. How much do members know about the organization?

SYNOPSIS: (req)

  • An overview of the organization encompassing key elements of it's design, and what you are looking to create in terms of worlds, themes, adventures, and ideas in general. Include how the organization might be used in strange or unknown dimensions,

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: (opt)

  • A catch-all for specific information the designer feels is necessary to understand the organization. This might include weaknesses inside the organization for example.
